9.4 FWL-PushPull RLS-LTRC
EnOcean extension module
The FWL-PushPull RLS-LTRC EnOcean exten-
sion module allows radio-controlled FWL-Push-
Pull-45 ventilation units to also be operated with
the wired FWL-PushPull RLS-K control. The
FWL-PushPull RLS-LTRC is connected to the
RS 485 interface of the FWL-PushPull RLS-K.
Note
The FWL-PushPull RLS-LTRC EnOcean module
can only be taught-in with the commissioning soft-
ware (FWL-PushPull RLS-K). This activates the
teaching mode and sends a radio telegram. All ra-
dio sensors/radio switches are taught-in directly
on the FWL-PushPull RLS-LTRC. Only the
EnOcean module is taught-in on the master.

9.5 FWL-PushPull RLS-LT power unit

The FWL-PushPull RLS / FWL-PushPull RLS-K
power unit is connected to the RS 485 interface.
Up to 3 additional FWL-PushPull RLS-LT power
units (power modules) can be added to a FWL-
PushPull-45 / FWL-PushPull-30 (TwinUnit) sys-
tem. 3 unit pairs (6 units) can be connected to
each power unit.
The first FWL-PushPull is operated as the mas-
ter and issues the commands. The slave controls
can permanently change the commands.
This allows systems to be produced with up to
24 wired FWL-PushPull-45 ventilation units (6 +
3*6 = 24 ventilation units). For FWL-PushPull-30
(TwinUnit) systems, the number of units is re-
duced accordingly (max. 3 FWL-PushPull-30
(TwinUnit), 1 FWL-PushPull-30 (TwinUnit) = 2
units (since there are 2 fans per FWL-Push-
Pull-30 (TwinUnit)).

The power units are connected to the plug-in con-
nection terminal of the room air control → Installa-
tion instructions for final installation kit, connec-
tion diagrams.
Recommendation: When connecting more than
2 FWL-PushPull-45/FWL-PushPull-30 (Twin-
Unit) units, carry out the unit connections in a
separate flush-mounted box. Generally speaking,
install the FWL-PushPull control in a deep flush-
mounted box.

All ventilation units of a group (Fan1 or Fan2) for
the entire ventilation system run together in ventil-
ation and air extraction mode.
The addressing of power units takes place each
time with a push of the power unit's [} 42] button
[T].
9.6 ModBus interface (building con-
trol system connection)
For a building control system connection, the
RS 485 interface of the FWL-PushPull RLS /
FWL-PushPull RLS-K control must be recon-
figured as a Modbus interface. The RS 485 bus is
therefore no longer available.
The Modbus interface is activated in service
mode or using the Commissioning software
[} 49]. The interface is set up with baud rates of
9600 or 19200 and addresses 10 to 50.
If the RS 485 interface is configured as a
Modbus interface, no further components
(ventilation units, sensors, power units, room
air controls etc.) can be connected at this in-
terface.
9.7 Operation with an odd number of
units
Carry out electrical connection on the Fan1 and
Fan2 connections.
When connecting 3 or 5 ventilation units:
• connect the larger number of ventilation units (2
or 3) to the "Fan2" group and
• connect the smaller number of ventilation units
(1 or 2) to the "Fan1" group.
When operating with an odd number of units, the
volumetric flow required of the "Fan2" group is
automatically compensated for by the "Fan1"
group.
In cross-ventilation operating mode, ventilation
units of the Fan1 group (exhaust air) are operated
with a higher volumetric flow. Volumetric flow
compensation is automatic in demand-driven
automatic operation
→ Commissioning [} 47] or Commissioning soft-
ware [} 49].
