z Using the device
NOTE: The welder is designed for welding with electrodes.
Put on appropriate protective clothing in accordance with the specifications and prepare your
workplace.
Plug the mains plug into the socket.
z Welding
Put the sheets to be connected on top of one another and hold them together (e.g. using clamps or a vice).
Put the welding arms into position and then press the lever
positioned directly onto the point to be welded. Now push the power switch
welding procedure. The welding time must not exceed 1 second for each spot weld. Release the power
switch
to end the welding procedure. The break between each spot weld must be at least 15 seconds.

NOTE: Never press the power switch until the welding electrodes are firmly positioned on the point
to be welded.
z Maintenance and cleaning
NOTE: The welder must be regularly serviced and overhauled for proper function and for compli-
ance with the safety requirements. Improper and wrong operation may cause failures and
damage to the device.
Before performing cleaning work on the welder, disconnect the mains plug from the socket to ensure
the device is safely isolated from the power supply.
Clean the exterior of the welder and its accessories regularly. Use compressed air, cotton waste or a
brush to remove dirt and dust.
If the welding electrodes are worn (tips are visibly elongated) they must be replaced. Unplug the
mains plug from the socket and leave the device to cool down for at least 15 minutes. The worn
electrodes can be unscrewed and new ones can be screwed in. The electrodes have an M8 thread.
Additional replacement electrodes can be purchased from a well-stocked specialist dealer.
NOTE: The following kinds of maintenance work must be performed only by suitably-qualified
personnel.
The current regulator, earthing device and internal cables must be serviced regularly.
Check the insulation resistance levels of the welder regularly. To do this use an appropriate measur-
ing device.
In case of a defect or a necessary replacement of equipment parts, please contact the appropriate
qualified personnel.
z Information about recycling and disposal
According to European Directive 2012/19/EU, used electrical devices must be collected separately
for environmentally compatible recycling or recovery. The symbol of the crossed out dustbin means that
this device must not be disposed of in household waste at the end of its service life. The device must be
handed in at established collection points, recycling centres or waste management depots. The disposal
