One safety guard is controlled by one CSMS unit.
The safety outputs of the CSMS will be connected
to a safety evaluation unit.

Functional test
After closing the safety guard (following the actuator being
CSMS-R
detected), the CSMS switches off the safety outputs.
The function can be verified by means of the LED displays.
For LED display status, see page 32. The instructions for the
safety evaluation unit must be adhered to.

Application:
One safety guard is controlled by one CSMS unit.
The safety outputs of the CSMS will be connected
to a safety evaluation unit.
An additional safety sensor with OSSD outputs is
connected to the CSMS. The safety outputs of this sensor
will be connected to the inputs I1 + I2/Q3 of the first
CSMS (the device manufacturer's instructions should be
followed).

Functional test
When the safety guard is closed (after the actuator has been
detected) and the additional sensor is switched on,
the CSMS switches on the safety outputs. By switching off
the additional safety sensor, the same is done for the
safety outputs of the CSMS. The function can be verified by
means of the LED displays. For LED display status,
see page 32. The instructions for the safety evaluation unit
must be adhered to.
