Safety instructions
An improper installation or modification of the CSMS
may lead to loss of the personal protection function and
can cause serious or fatal injuries.
Contactors which can directly be controlled by the CSMS
have to be connected to both CSMS connections. The mass
of the contactors must be linked to the mass of the CSMS.
The supply must be protected against damage. The installa-
tion of the cable can be made in conduit or ducts.
For safety, the supply line must be protected by a fuse
(2,5 A gG). Thus, in case of failure, a fire can be avoided.

must respect the applicable standards for the design of the
security clearances of the separate protective device to the
danger point.
This includes, amongst others things, the following
regulations ISO 13857, EN 349, EN 953, EN 1088 (ISO 14119).
The operator of the facility must ensure that a network
failure up to 10 ms can be bridged by a power supply.
The control unit which the CSMS is integrated into should be
validated by the end-user / machine designer in accordance
with ISO 13849-2.
