5 Commissioning
Preparing commissioning
Connect water supply if necessary.
Fill separator with cold water up to the static level (level of the outlet).
Have a general inspection carried out (during initial commissioning and then every 5 years).
Give safety instruction.
File all records in the log book and document required disposal cycle.
All documents must be kept available at the system. The local supervisory authority can ask to examine the documents.
Switching on the control unit
Connect the power supply.
Control unit starts automatically.
Initialisation of the control unit
LEDs light up briefly, one after the other. Power LED is lit
continuously.
If, except for the Power LED, no LEDs are lit continuously
or flash, the control unit is in normal mode and the putting
into service can be continued.
Setting the control unit
The preset running time of the pump for this version
NS2 / NS3 = 60 seconds
NS4 = 80 seconds
NS7 = 135 seconds
NS10 = 190 seconds
The values can be adjusted to the respective requirements using the Kessel NFC app.

5.1 Functional test
Functional test shredder-mix pump
Make sure that the shut-off valve for the pump valve is open (completely pulled out and secured).
Start the control unit.
Press the Motor/Pump on (6) button.
Check whether error messages are displayed.
If no problems occur, the system is ready for commissioning and/or general inspection. If problems occur, proceed as
described in the Maintenance chapter (see "Maintenance", page 26).
Tightness of the pipe connections
Before commissioning, a leak test must be performed on all on-site connections. The pre-assembled connections have
undergone a leak test at the factory and only need to be tested again if the connections have been dismantled e.g. for easier
installation.
