1.2. General Information
Performance Features
The Behnke reverse side camera 43-9582C uses
an AXIS M4327-P type camera.
The camera provides video images with FullHD
resolution of up to 2560 x 1920 pixels. Depen-
ding on the selected operating mode, up to
50 images per second can be transmitted. The
camera may be integrated into standard video
surveillance systems. Please be sure to observe
the specifications of the camera type installed,
as the resolutions always depend on the selected
operating mode. The corresponding documenta-
tion is available from AXIS Communications on
their websites.
The video may be transferred to a video surveil-
lance system via HTTP or via RSTP streaming. The
camera provides an open interface (VAPIX). The
corresponding documentation is available from
AXIS Communications on their websites. Motion-
JPEG, H.264 and H.265 are available as compres-
sion methods.

Determine the camera position
Please note the following advice on camera
position when installing your Behnke door
intercom system: In order to receive an image
feed, you need a lot more than to simply point the
camera in the direction of an object or a person.
The lighting situation, the camera's angle of view
(horizontal / vertical), reflectance from other
light sources and sunlight, back lighting and
blind spots all have an influence on your future
image quality. It is important that you avoid direct
sunlight, as the camera shutter will reduce light
incidence into the camera and consequently
will reduce the image sensor performance. You
should therefore position the camera so that the
sun is behind the camera. In order to prevent
problems from back lighting when filming objects
or people, you should consider changing the sur-
rounding area by changing the camera position.
Where it proves to be impossible to change the
camera position, the object or person in question
should be sufficiently lit from the front.
