CONNEXIONS
NOTE:
Do not allow the conductors of the cords to project out of the
terminals or to come into contact with other conductors. A
breakdown or failure may occur when conductors touch.
Precautions for the S-A800V, S-A650V and S-A600V:
These speaker systems are magnetically shielded.
However, depending on the installation location, color distortion
may occur if the speaker systems are installed extremely close
to the screen of a television set.
if this happens, turn off the power switch of the television set,
and then turn it on after 15 to 30 minutes.
Ifthe problem persists, place the speaker systems farther away
from the television set.
eltis necessary to attach the four non-skid pads on the bottom
of the speakers.
eDo not connect to any amplifier other than the one supplied
with this system. Connection to any other amplifier may
result in malfunction or a fire.
Lubrication is used in this unit's speakers. Do not touch it
with your hands ora cloth as this may degrade performance.
If you do get the lubrication on your hands, immediately
wash it off with a detergent.
Speaker impedance
XR-A700:
Connect speaker systems with a nominal impedance range
from 6 Q to 16.Q.
Note for the S-A800V only:
This system's tuner amplifier and speakers are designed
specifically for use in combination with each other. Do not use
them with other components as this may damage them or result
in impaired performance.
Surround (rear) speaker system connections.
e@Connect the plugs properly.
Use speaker systems equipped with standard RCA pin plugs.
XR-A800 and XR-A700:
Surround (rear) speakers must have a nominal impedance of
16 QO or more.
When mounting a surround (rear) speaker system on a wall
e Use the hole located on the rear panel of the speaker to mount
iton a wall. Make sure the speakers will not drop when they are
mounted.
e Check if the wall is strong enough to hang the speakers on it.
PIONEER disclaims any responsibility for damages due to the
speakers dropping and other accidents, which are caused by
insufficient wall strength or improper installation.
e@No screws or other fittings are supplied to mount the speakers
on the wall.
4, Connecting an additional external component.
Such as a VCR or MD recorder other than the component in
this system.
Connect this unit's AUX input jack to the VCR's or MD's
output jack using an audio cord available in stores.
5. Finally, plug the power cord into the AC wall outlet.
NOTE:
Insert the plugs securely into the jacks. Improper connection
can lead to sound distortion or a malfunction.

REMARQUE:

Précautions relatives aux S-A800V, S-AG50V et S-AG00V:
Ces enceintes comportent un blindage magnétique.
Toutefois, les couleurs de l'image fournie par le téléviseur
peuvent étre dénaturées si les enceintes sont placées trés prés
de I'écran.
En ce cas, mettez le téléviseur hors tension et attendez entre 15
et 30 minutes avant de le remettre sous tension.
Si le méme phénomeéne se reproduit, éloignez les enceintes du
téléviseur.
e Nous vous conseillons de fixer les garnitures antidérapantes
sur le fond des enceintes acoustiques.
e Aucun amplificateur autre que celui fourni avec l'ensemble ne
doit étre relié 4l'ensemble. Dansle cas contraire, vous pourriez
constater une anomalie de fonctionnement et vous risqueriez
de provoquer un incendie.
Ces enceintes comportent un lubrifiant. I ne faut pas toucher
le lubrifiant, nil'enlever en essuyant avec un chiffon car cela
nuit aux performances. Si on a touché le lubrifiant, se laver
immédiatement les mains avec un détergent.
Impédance d'enceinte
XR-A700:
Connectez des enceintes ayant une impédance nominale de6Q
a16Q.
Remarque concernant seulement le S-A800V:
Le récepteur et les enceintes de cet ensemble ont été congus pour
fonctionner conjointement. Ne pas reller a un amplifioateur autre
que celul fourn! aveo la chaine. Toute connexion 4 un autre
appareil peut produire un dysfonctionnement ou mettre le feu.
Raccordement des enceintes (arriére) d'ambiance.
eEffectuez les raccordements comme i! convient.
Utilisez des enceintes munies de fiches standard RCA.
XR-A800 et XR-A700:
Les enceintes d'ambiance (enceintes arriére) doivent avoir une
impédance nominale de 16 , ou plus.
Lors de I'installation d'enceinte arriére sur un mur
e Utiliserz l'orifice situé sur le panneau arriére de l'enceinte pour
la monter sur un mur. Assurez-vous que les encejmtes sont
solidement fixées au mur et ne peuvent pas s'en détacher.
eAssurez-vous également que le mur posséde la résistance
voulue pour supporter les enceintes.
PIONEER
n'acceptera
aucune
responsabilité pour
les
dommages dus a une chute des enceintes ou autresaccidents
causés par une résistance inadéquate du mur ou a une
installation incorrecte.
e Aucune vis ou autre fixation ne sont fournies pour monter les
enceintes sur un mur.
4. Raccordement d'un appareil complémentaire.
Ce peut étre un magnétoscope ou une platine
MD, un
appareil autre que ceux que comporte I'ensemble.
A l'aide d'un cordon audio disponible dans les rnagasins
d'appareils audiovisuels, reliez Ja prise d'entrée ALJX de cet
appareil-ci a la prise de sortie du magnétoscope
ou de fa
platine MD.
5. Finalement, connectez le cordon d'alimentation z la prise
secteur murale.
REMARQUE:
Insérez les fiches fermement dans les prises. Une connexion
incorrecte peut amener une distorsion du son ou un mauvais
fonctionnement.
