• The chuck is free of splinters or other materi-
al residue.
Installing the saw blade (Fig. A)
1. Turn the chuck (1) as far forward as pos-
sible and hold it firmly in this position.
2. Place the saw blade (21/20) into the chuck
(1).
3. Release the chuck (1).
4. Make sure that the saw blade (21/20) is
attached correctly and the teeth are point-
ing in the cutting direction.
Removing the saw blade (Fig. A)
1. Hold the saw blade (21/20) firmly.
2. Turn the chuck (1) as far forward as pos-
sible and hold it firmly in this position.
3. Remove the saw blade (21/20) from the
chuck (1).
4. Release the chuck (1).
Adjusting the footplate
(Fig. B)
 CAUTION! Make sure that the device is
secured against accidental start-up. If neces-
sary, remove the batteries (16) and the saw
blade (21/20).
1. Loosen the lever (15).
2. Press the release (13).
3. Adjust the footplate to the desired length.
4. Tighten the lever (15) again.
If the lever (15) cannot be locked, move the
footplate back and forth a little.
Checking the charge status of
the battery in the device
1. Press and hold the On/Off switch (4).
✔ The charge level of the battery is indic-
ated by illumination of the corresponding
LEDs on the charge level indicator (8).

2. Charge the battery (16) when only the red
LED on the charge level indicator on the
device (8) is illuminated.
Checking the charge status of
the battery
1.
Press the charge level indicator
button (17) on the battery (16).
✔ The charge level of the battery is indic-
ated by illumination of the corresponding
LED lights.

2. Charge the battery (16) when only the red
LED on the charge level indicator (17) is il-
luminated.

Notes
• If warm, allow the battery to cool before
charging.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight
for long periods and do not place it on a
radiator (max. 50°C).
Charging the battery
1. Plug the charger into a socket.
2. Slide the battery (16) into the charging slot
of the charger.
3. Once charging is complete, disconnect the
charger from the mains supply.
4. Remove the battery from the charger.

Information on sawing
General Information
• Do not use any blunt or bent blades or
blades which are damaged in any other
way.
• Before sawing the workpiece, check for hid-
den foreign objects such as nails or screws.
These must be removed.
