DISPLAY*
For enhanced operational efficiency, the BR-S605E has an on-screen display function*. Various data and warning messages are
available on a connected monitor, either superimposed over the playback picture, or against a blue background if there is no
picture signal.
e@ Connect a monitor (for on-screen display) to the VIDEO OUT
LINE-2 or MONITOR (Y/C443) connector.
1. Normally tape modes or counter data are displayed.
This display can be defeated with Memory Switch 03.

indication changes
to the
remaining tape time indication when the recorder's display is
changed to the remaining tape time mode.

2. When
a malfunction occurs, a diagnostic code will be
displayed together with a message indicating the defect.
The same diagnostic code will also appear on the front
panel display. For more details see page 18, "WARNING
DISPLAY".
