to be avoided (5.10). Don't knot the retractable lanyard (5.12) and do not
use it in the lacing gear (5.13). Do not use over bulk material or similar
substances in which you can sink (5.14). Avoid contact with aggressive
substances/chemicals.
Note: Only use the SRL for its intended purpose and NOT, for example,
as a holding rope (i.e. do not hold on to the SRL or pull yourself up on it)
and NOT for suspending/securing loads.
6.) Interchangeable marking (RAPTOR C6, C10, C20 only)
For the variants RAPTOR C6, C10 and C20, the marking can be adjusted
according to the application (horizontal or vertical). To do this, use a
screwdriver to turn the marking with the min./max. nominal load and the
edge suitability to the left or right until the corresponding application is
visible (6.1, 6.2).
7) Rescue lifting device RAPTOR CH20 according to EN 1496:2017/A
The RAPTOR CH20 can be used vertically on an anchor point or inclined
on an anchor device according to EN 795/B (e.g. on a tripod with a suitable
bracket, Fig. 1). In addition to the use as an SRL, with this product there is
also the possibility of lifting a person suspended by the device.
7.1) To do this, fold out the handle on the crank.
7.2) Pull the red locking bolt so that the axle jumps out.
7.3) Hold the locking bolt and slowly turn the crank clockwise on the
handle until the gear wheel inside audibly engages. The seal will break
and has to be removed. Release the locking bolt, which returns to its
original position by spring force.
7.4) Now the person can be lifted by turning the crank clockwise.
Note: In the safe area, the crank can be turned anticlockwise to lower the
person and detach from the rescue lifting device.
Caution: After a rescue, the product must be withdrawn from use and
maintenance must be carried out.
Caution: If the person has to be lowered during the rescue, a rescue lifting
device according to EN 1496, class B or a descender device according to
EN 341 must be used.
Note: During the rescue lifting operation, there must be direct or indirect
visual contact or another means of communication between the rescuer
and the person to be rescued at all times.
A rescue liftiing device may only be used for rescue purposes. Lifting shall
be possible unobstructed. It may only be used when a weight (min. 40 kg)
