General information
The instructions must always be available in the national language. If
these are not available, the seller must clarify this with SKYLOTEC GmbH
before resale. The instructions must be made available to the user. The
equipment may only be used by persons in good physical and mental
health who are suitable for working at height. They must be trained in safe
use and have the necessary knowledge, or be under the supervision of
such a person. No alterations or additions may be made to the equipment.
Emergency or rescue plans must be in place for all eventualities. It must
be possible to carry out rescue operations as quickly as possible.

A fall arrest system (Fig. 1) is composed of the individual components
shown and may only be used with tested and approved components
within the described conditions of use and for the intended purpose.
When a complete system is supplied, individual components must not
be replaced without the approval of the manufacturer. When combining
individual components, it must be ensured that the safe function of each
component and of the assembled fall arrest system is always guaranteed,
as there is a danger to life and limb in the event of non-compliance. Only
a harness EN 361 (fall arrest eyelet marked „A") may be used in the fall
arrest system. The substructure, to which the anchor point is attached,
and the connecting elements must be able to withstand the load. For
safety, it is necessary to choose the position of the anchor point in such a
way that the fall height is kept to a minimum. Retractable type fall arresters
(hereinafter referred to as SRL) are used exclusively to safeguard persons
who are exposed to the risk of falling during their work (e.g. on ladders,
roofs, etc.). The user can move freely during the ascent and descent. Due
to the integrated spring, the lanyard made of steel cable / PES webbing is
automatically retracted into the device.
In the event of a fall or a jerky movement the device locks. The force that
occurs during a fall is reduced to a maximum impact force of 6 kN. After
a fall, the HSG must be withdrawn from use and checked by a competent
person. If the test result is negative, the SRL must be taken out of service
immediately and disposed of!
SRL's must not be used over bulk material or similar materials in which
