plication.
Before and during each use, make sure that the required ground clearance
H is, in any case, sufficient to ensure the effectiveness of the system and

to avoid impact with the ground or other obstacles (Fig. 6):

corresponding instructions for use of the manufacturer)

5.) Application
A visual and functional check must be carried out before use. The SRL,
including the full length of the retractable lanyard, shall be checked for
damage due to deformation, corrosion, drop loading or wear. The fall
indicator on the carabiner of the lanyard (5.4) as well as the additional fall
indicator on the device must be checked.
As long as the fall indicator shows „green", there is enough reserve to
absorb another fall with maximum weight.
If the fall indicator has been triggered (5.4) or the fall indicator shows
RED, the SRL must be withdrawn from use immediately.
The retractable lanyard must be able to be pulled out and retracted
without difficulty.
Caution: Never release the lanyard and allow it to retract uncontrolled.
(5.1) To check the locking function (5.2), pull quickly and firmly on the line
to ensure that the SRL locks. When doing so, listen for unusual noises.
The SRL shall be withdrawn from use and an inspection by a competent
person shall be carried out if
• the drop indicator has been triggered (5.4) or the unit shows RED,
• other faults are detected, or
• there is the slightest doubt about the function or safe condition of the
unit.
The SRL must not be used near electrical lines (5.3). The carabiners must
always be correctly closed before use (5.5, 5.6). A transverse or buckling
load must be avoided in any case (5.7, 5.8). The force applied to the
structure in the event of a fall must not exceed 6kN (5.9). Slack rope is
