USE
The firefighter helmet SCHUBERTH F120 Pro is available in 2 helmet shell
sizes (H2 and H3).
The helmet shells are approved for the following head size ranges:
Size H2/1 = 50 to 57 cm, Size H2 = 53 to 61 cm, Size H3 = 59 to 64 cm
Adjusting the head width
You can set the desired head width (even for using the helmet with a head-
strapped full face mask) within the respective head size range by loosening
the knurled nut at the rear of the lining and by moving the steel straps. Then
tighten the knurled nut again.
Adjusting the wearing height
This is achieved by knotting the laces wider or more tightly at the crown
through the leather band serrations.
Adjusting the chin and neck strap
The F120 Pro features a 4-point chinstrap, with the cheek straps leading
vertically through neck straps connected to the back of the helmet shell to
prevent the helmet from slipping.
In order for the F120 Pro to be correctly adjusted, the two neckbands must
fit snugly under the ears and the cheek strap must fit snugly just behind the
point of the chin when the helmet is on.
If it is necessary to adjust the 4-point chinstrap at the neck area, proceed as
follows:
a) Take off the helmet and put it down with the visor pointing towards the body.
b) Fold up the serrated leather sweatband.
c) Loosen and remove both exposed rear nuts, holding the screws from the
outside with a hexagon screwdriver.
d) Adjust neck straps one hole higher (neckband shorter) or
one hole deeper (neckband longer) as needed.
e) Replace nuts and tighten.
