Der Verkehrsfunkempfang
(ARI)
Bestimmte UKW-Sender strahlen von
Zeit zu Zeit regional gilltige Verkehrs-
funkmeidungen aus. Eine wesentliche
Enleichterung beim Auffinden dieser
Sender, verbunden mit einigen anderen
Vorteile, bietet das von Blaupunkt in
enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem
ADAC und den Rundfunkanstalten
der ARD und weiteren Institutionen
entwickelte ARI-System. Einen Verkehrs-
funksender erkennen Sie am Aufleuchten
des roten Anzeigefeldes. Die Frequenz
des flir Ihr Gebiet zustandigen Verkehrs-
funksenders kénnen Sie einmal auf den
blauen Hinweistafeln auf den Auto-
bahnen und zum anderen aus der
beiliegenden Frequenziibersicht
entnehmen.
Die ARI-Taste
Ist die ARI-Taste gedriickt, sind alle
Nicht-Verkehrsfunksender stumm-~
geschaltet. Méchten Sie nur Verkehrs-
funksender héren, gehen Sie wie folgt
vor:

@ Driicken Sie die ARI-Taste.
@ Stellen Sie einen Verkehrsfunk-
sender durch Driicken der Suchlauf-
wippe ein.
Der ARI-Schriftzug leuchtet.

Traffic broadcast
reception (ARI)
Certain FM stations broadcast local
radio traffic announcements from
time to time. The ARI system
represents a considerable aid to
finding these stations and offers
also some other advantages. This
system was developed by Blaupunkt
in close cooperation with the ADAC
(motorists' association in the FRG), the
broadcasting companies of the ARD
and other institutions. You can
identify an ARI station by the
fact that the red indicator square
will light up. The frequency of the
station broad- casting radio traffic
announcements in any particular area is
displayed on blue motorway signs. The
frequencies are also listed in this
handbook.
The ARI button
When the ARI button is pressed in, all
stations not broadcasting radio traffic
announcements are "muted" (cannot
be heard). Should you wish to hear only
stations broadcasting radio traffic
announcements, proceed as follows:
@ Press in the ARI button
@ Select a radio traffic information
station by pressing the search
tuning rocker switch.
The characters ARI light up.
