1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Improper handling and misuse may cause serious damage to the device or injury to persons.
• The device must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed.
• The manufacturer shall not be held liable for damage caused by improper handling or misuse of the device.
• During use, protect the device and the power cord plug from contact with water or other liquids. In the event
that the device inadvertently falls into water, immediately pull the plug out of the socket and have the device
checked by a specialist.
Failure to follow these instructions could result in life-threatening injuries.
• Never open the housing of the device yourself.
• Do not insert any objects into the housing of the device.
• Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
• Regularly check the condition of the plug and the cable. If you detect damage to the plug or cable, have it repa-
ired at a specialized repair facility.
• If the appliance falls or is damaged in any other way, always have it inspected and repaired by a specialist before
continuing to use it.
• Never attempt to repair the device yourself - doing so may endanger your life.
• Protect the power cord from contact with sharp or hot objects and keep it away from open flames. If you need to
unplug the device, always grasp the plug, never pull on the cable.
• Secure the cable (or extension cord) to prevent someone from mistakenly pulling it out of the socket or tripping
over it.
• Check the operation of the equipment during use.
• This equipment may be used by children of at least 8 years of age and by persons of diminished physical, mental
capacity and lack of experience and knowledge of the equipment if supervision or instruction is provided regar-
ding the safe use of the equipment so that the hazards involved are understood. Children should not play with the
equipment. Children should not perform unsupervised cleaning or maintenance on the equipment.
• When the equipment is not in use or is being cleaned, always unplug it from the wall outlet.
• Warning : If the power cord plug is inserted into a power outlet, the apparatus remains live at all times.
• Turn the device off before unplugging it.
• Never pull the unit by the power cord.
• Operate and store the unit at an ambient temperature between 0

• Pour room temperature water into the water container. Hot water may damage the unit.
• If the device will not be used for an extended period of time, turn it off and unplug it from the electrical outlet.

2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This unit and all its accessories are designed for the following operating conditions:
• operation exclusively by personnel authorized by the device manufacturer.
• Supervised automatic operation (self-service).
• Fixed water connection.
• Operation without water supply pressure - Use of water from supply system or tank.
• Fixed installation in dry, closed rooms.
This device and all its accessories are not designed for the following operating conditions:
• high humidity areas (areas where a lot of water vapor is released) or outdoors.
• On board vehicles or on moving surfaces
• Use cleaning tablets and decalcifying agent according to the regulations and manufacturer's instructions on their
labels.
Caution - risk of scalding - There is a risk of scalding from drinks - keep hands away from the steam outlet.
Caution - risk of scalding - High temperature at the outlet and coffee brewing system. Only touch the handle of the
coffee brewing unit. Do not clean the coffee brewing system until it has cooled down.
Caution - Risk of Burning - There is a risk of injury to the hands if working parts of the unit are touched. Do not reach
into the bean hopper or the brewing system while the unit is in operation.
2.1. Hazards to the device
Caution - Improper installation of the unit may result in contaminants entering the beverages and damage to the
unit.
Carefully follow the guidelines outlined below:
• Use drinking water with a hardness of more than 5°dKH . If the water hardness is lower than specified, there
is a possibility of corrosion of the hydraulic components of the appliance, so in this case a water filter must be
installed.
• Turn off the tap (appliances with fixed water connection), then turn off the appliance and disconnect its plug from
the electrical outlet.
• Observe the relevant low voltage and local and regional safety regulations.
• Turn off the unit if its tank is not filled with water, otherwise the heater may be damaged.
• Install a check valve on the line in case water leaks due to a pipe break.
• If the machine has not been used for more than a week, clean the machine before using it again.
• Do not expose the machine to adverse weather conditions.
