Tuning FM and AM stations
* Radio broadcasts cannot be received unless an antenna is
connected.
1. POWER 2. TUNER 5

. Press the POWER switch to ON.
. Press the TUNER button so that TUNER" appears on the display,
and then press the FM/AM button to select the band.
. Press the AUTO/MANU button so that the AUTO indicator lights.
. Press the V *or* A" segment of the TUNING buttons.
Auto tuning starts and stops when a broadcast station is received.
Press the TUNING button again to resume auto tuning
* To select manual tuning, press the AUTO/MANU button.
* When manual tuning is selected, the frequency changes every
time the button segment is pressed.
Holding the button segment depressed changes the frequency
continuously.
. Adjust the volume and tone.
The FM STEREO indicator lights when an FM stereo broadcast is
received,
* To listen to an FM stereo broadcast in monaural, press the AUTO/
MANU button.
* This operation cannot be carried out using the remote control unit

Recalling a preset station
1. Recalling by specifying the channel! number.
To recall CH3, for example, press 3 - ENTER in this order.
To recall CH27, for example, press 2 + 7 —-* ENTER in this order.
* The band is switched according to the band of the preset station.
Recalling by preset scan tuning.
Press the P. SCAN button. Each preset station will be received for
about 5 seconds in sequence. When the desired station is received,
press the ENTER button. The preset scan is canceled and the
station will be received continuously.

* When the current reception mode is FM, only the FM preset

stations are scanned. When the current reception mode is AM, only
the AM preset stations are scanned.
The "P. scan" indicator blinks during preset scanning.
if the ENTER button is not pressed, preset scanning stops after two
cycles.
3. Recalling with the remote controller.
To switch preset channels, press the P. CALL button on the remote
_ controller. Pressing the " or v button once increases or decreases
the channel by 1, and holding the button depressed change it
continuously.
