12 Putting into operation

Always switch on the extractor hood at the start of cooking and allow it to run for
a few minutes longer after the end of cooking. This is the most effective way to
eliminate cooking fumes.

Always ensure adequate ventilation in the room when the extractor hood is in
operation at the same time as gas cookers or other fluid-fired appliances.
• Operation is not permitted above a coal or wood-fired fireplace.
• Do not flambé food under the extractor hood.
• Do not open the gas supply to gas hobs as long as there is no cookware on
the hob.
• Always operate the extractor hood with a grease filter. Fats or oils can
easily catch fire if they are overheated. Therefore always supervise the
food while cooking.
• Clean or replace the filter at regular intervals.
1. Plug the mains plug into the plug socket.
2. Switch on the light.
3. Switch on the extractor hood with the ON/OFF button.
4. Select the desired fan speed.
5. After finishing cooking, switch off the extractor hood again with the
ON/OFF button.
6. Switch off the lighting.
