Periodic maintenance and adjustment
Checking and lubricating the central
and side stand
Before using the vehicle, always check the
operation of the side and central stand and
lubricate, if necessary, the guide pin and the
EN
metal/metal contact surfaces.

TIP
The switch built into the side stand is part of
the ignition circuit cut-out system that cuts
out the ignition in certain situations.
WARNING
If the central or side stand do not go up or
down easily, have them checked or repai-
red by a Benelli dealer. Otherwise the side/
central stand might not touch ground and
distract the rider with the resulting possi-
bility of losing control of the vehicle.
The cut-out ignition circuit has been de-
signed to ensure the rider raises the side
stand before putting the motorcycle in mo-
vement. Therefore, we ask that you check
this system regularly, as described below,
and have it repaired by a Benelli dealer if it
does not operate correctly.

Checking the front fork
The condition and operation of the front fork
must be checked as follows at the intervals
specified in the periodic maintenance and lu-
brication chart.
To check the condition
Check the inner tubes for scratches, damage
and excessive oil leakage.
To check the operation
1. Place the vehicle on a lat surface and keep
it upright.
WARNING
To avoid injury, securely support the vehi-
cle so there is no danger of it falling over.
2. While applying the front brake, push down
hard on the handlebars several times to check
if the front fork compresses and rebounds
smoothly.
