Recording
2. Press the EJECT button and insert a cassette.
Note:
e If the erasure prevention tab is broken off,
the tape cannot be used for recording.
3. Set the TAPE selector according to the tape
being used, (See page 29.)

Select the source you desire to record,
For example, record sound from a record,
place a record on the platter and press the
START (<4) button.
5. Press the reset button to set the COUNTER
to "000".

is kept pressed, press the
PLAY

Note:

to adjust the recording

7. To record a tape suitable for music scanning
After
recording
each
tune,
keep the REC
MUTE
button pressed for 4 sec. or more.
8. So as not to record unnecessary sections and
stand by for recording
Press the PAUSE
button

during re-
cording
to interrupt recording temporarily
so
that
unnecessary
sections
are
not
re-
corded. To start recording again, just press
the button again.

Use
of a microphone
on
its own
and
mic
mixing
When
recording
only
microphone
sound,
adjust
the
volume
with
the MIC
MIXING
control and proceed
from
6 above.
For mic
mixing, first adjust the volume of the record
or tape with the VOLUME
control and then
adjust
the
volume
of
microphone
sound
with
the
MIC
MIXING
control.
Proceed
from 6 above.
Erasing
When a tape is recorded, the previously recorded
sound is automatically erased,
To erase without making a new recording
Unplug
any
cords
from
the
AUX
terminals,
INST and MIC jack, then press the AUX button
and set to the recording mode.
Using a timer
e Unattended recording is possible.
© A tape or broadcast can be used as an alarm.
Connect an audio timer and set it for record-
ing or playing a tape or receiving a broadcast
at the preset time.
