Short Operating Instruction
1. Fill an deaerate the infusion giving set in the usual
manner, (Use only B. Braun Infusomat giving set.)
Close roller clamp and make connection to the
patient.
2. Place drop detector on drop chamber.
3. Install giving set in accordance with illustrations.
Attention: The reducer adapter must be positioned
exactly.
Close the pump door and open the roller clamp.
4. Turn on Mains switch. (There will be about a
5 second delay while the internal safety Monitor
program activates.)
. Check battery condition. Battery test push button
> JI is located on the back panel.
(Yellow Monitor lamp E will light.)
. Select dosage rate 1 - 600 ml/h.
. Select dosage to be given (Button © mi/O — 9999 ml).
. Start equipment with "Start" button. (Pump runs
when the yellow operating lamp [2] illuminates.)
9. To stop equipment (i. e.: to change bottles) push
"Stop" button.
10. Alarm tone muting
The alarm tone can be muted for 2 minutes by
pushing button 2.
11. Taking equipment out of operation
Turn off Mains switch. (If possible keep Mains cable
plugged in, so that the battery is recharged to full
capacity.)
Alarm Indicators
A40 = Drop detector AAA = Drop detector still on
(i. e: Bottle empty) + handle cradle or
ASO = Air in the system CA Equipment defect
