7.2.3 Protecting the setting:
A sealing wire may be fitted through the hole in the handw-
heel and a lead seal may be fitted.
7.2.4 Locking the handwheel

The handwheel can be locked in any position (
turn). To do so, push the enclosed clip in the cut-out into
the handwheel below the holes between the guides until
stop (see sketch). The clip can now be sealed as illustra-
ted. It is essential that the sealing wire is fitted tightly.
7.3 Presetting DN 200 to DN 300
7.3.1 Presetting
1. The value of presetting of the valve is adjusted by
turning the handwheel.
a. The complete turns of the handwheel are shown
by the outer display.

b. ⁄ th of a turn of the handwheel is shown by the

outer display.
2. Remove cover plug by introducing a screwdriver in
the slot and gently prising it off.
3. The set value of presetting can be limited by turning
the inner adjustment stem clockwise until it seats.
This can be done by using a 10 mm screwdriver.
4. Refit the cover plug.

The handwheel can be locked in any position (1/10th of a
turn) by removing the existing cover plug and replacing it
with a special one. The sealing wire is then fitted through
the hole in the handwheel and a lead seal is fitted.
7.4 Correction factors for water and glycol mixtures
The correction factors of the antifreeze liquid manufactu-
rers have to be taken into consideration when setting the
flow rate.

8 Accessories

Oventrop offers two measuring gauges for presetting and
regulation of the flow rate:
– Oventrop measuring system "OV-DMC 2"
– Oventrop measuring system "OV-DMPC"
The accessories can be found in the catalogue.

9 Maintenance

The valve is maintenance-free. Tightness and function of
the valve and its connection points have to be checked
regularly during maintenance. The valve must be easily
accessible.

10 Warranty

Oventrops warranty conditions valid at the time of supply
are applicable.
