Replacement of the battery
Detach the attachments
Detach the battery.
Hold the handle, pull the battery release button in the direction of the
arrow, hold the side of the battery, and pull it out in the direction of the
arrow.

Attaching the new battery.
Correctly attach the battery to the vacuum cleaner.

Doing so might cause heat to be generated, a fire, or an electric shock.
Disposing of the vacuum cleaner
To prevent damage to property and personal injury, please thoroughly read the Safety precautions
and dispose the product properly.
Recycling the battery (when disposing the product)
This product uses a lithium-ion battery.
Lithium-ion batteries are a valuable, recyclable resource.
To dispose of the vacuum cleaner, detach the battery according to the following procedure, and
then bring the vacuum cleaner to a Hitachi authorized service agent or one of our recycling
partner stores. Alternatively, ask local authorities about the proper method of disposing of the
vacuum cleaner, and follow your local recycling regulations.
*Recycling rules might vary depending on the local authorities.
Detaching the battery (When disposing of the product)
Follow the procedure 1 to 2 of the replacement of the battery.
Insulate the battery terminal by attaching vinyl tape.
