Controlling the cameras with the PTZ Cntrl app
Installing PTZ Cntrl
The PTZ Cntrl app for iPad is provided by Panasonic Corporation. It
facilitates panning and tilting of the HD integrated camera and smooth
operation of the lens by displaying the video of the unit and the video
of the HD integrated camera mounted to the unit and then touching the
iPad screen.

Connect the iPad to the network.
• The iPad needs to be connected to the Internet.
2.
Tap
[App Store].
3.
Enter "Panasonic PTZ Cntrl" in the search field.
4.
Tap [PTZ Cntrl] and install the software.
• An
icon is added to the iPad menu.
Connecting with the iPad
Configure the network settings of the unit and the HD integrated camera
mounted to the unit

, and then set the IP address for each of them. For

the IP address settings, refer to "Network settings" (→ page 13).

Connection cannot be performed when the HD integrated camera is
in standby mode. Make sure the power is on.
1.
Start [PTZ Cntrl].
2.
Tap
from the [PTZ Cntrl] screen to open the setting
screen.
3.
Tap [Camera Setting].
• The [Camera Group] screen opens.
4.
Tap [Add Group] and then tap [Add Camera] of the
[Camera Group] items.
5.
Tap the model name of the connected HD integrated
camera, and configure the IP addresses for [PTZ Camera]
and [Sub Camera] (this unit).
6.
Tap [Close] to return to the setting screen.
• Tap the
(camera selection) button, and select the [Camera
Group] and [Camera]. Be sure to click [Connect] after selection.
The video from the HD integrated camera is displayed in the upper
area, and the video from the unit is displayed in the lower area.
<NOTE>
• If the video does not appear, connection and communication with
the camera has not been established. Check the LAN cables, Wi-Fi
settings, IP address settings, etc.
For the detailed setting procedure, refer to the Help screen of PTZ Cntrl.

Configuring the initial settings of PTZ Cntrl
The shooting angle of view of the unit and the operation position of the
HD integrated camera need to be adjusted. The difference between
the positional relationship in the video of the unit and the pan and
tilt operation position of the HD integrated camera is minimized by
performing this correction operation.
1.
Tap
from the [PTZ Cntrl] screen to open the settings.
2.
Tap [General] in the lower part of the setting screen.
• The screen switches to calibration mode.
3.
Tap the upper area of the screen or use the [///]
keys to match [+] marker image position of the upper
area of the screen to the area displayed at the center [+]
marker in the lower area of the screen.
