Echo Quality
The echo quality of the ultrasonic wave is
given in V3H2 in steps from 1...10.
• Poor echo quality due to vapour, dust,
internal fittings, foam, higher measuring
distance etc.:

Positioning the Sensor
Use the display of echo quality given in Field
V3H2 to find the correct mounting point.
Fixed internal structures intrude too far into
the measuring zone of the sensor reflect the
ultrasonic echo. Beside the sensor position
the fixed target suppression facility can be
used.

Fixed Target Echo Suppression
• Fixed target echo suppression is used if
internals are detected in the vessel and not
the actual distance. Up to three
interference echoes can be suppressed.
The suppression should be done when the
tank is as empty as possible.
