4.4.3 Replacing the valve discs on the check valves
1. Pull out the old valve disc towards the inside.
2. Insert the stud of the new disc into the hole from inside, and pull it
towards the visor until the recess of the stud is visible.
The valve discs should make even contact with the inside surface.
4.4.4 Replacing the speech diaphragm or O-ring
1. Pull the inner mask out of the groove in
the threaded ring.
2. Unscrew the threaded ring with the pin
spanner.
3. Turn pin spanner around and carefully
insert it in the holes of the protective
screen. Do not damage the diaphragm.
4. Twist the speech diaphragm loose and
remove it.
5. Remove the O-ring from the equipment connector using the
sealing ring lifter.
6. Check the speech diaphragm and O-ring, and replace if
necessary.
7. Attach the inner mask. Make sure that the edge is positioned in the
groove all around. The midposition markers of the equipment
connector and in the inner mask must line up.
4.4.5 Replacing the exhalation valve disc
1. Visually inspect the exhalation valve disc (see chapter 4.3.3 on
page 19).
2. Fit the exhalation valve cover. Ensure that it engages.

4.4.6 Replacing the inhalation valve seat or inhalation valve
disc
1. Lever the inhalation valve seat with a sealing ring lifter on the
round thread seal and pull it out.
2. Remove the old valve disc and fasten the new valve disc.
3. Press in the inhalation valve seat with the valve disc in a V-shape
on the circumference, let it snap into the equipment connector and
make sure that it has even contact all around. The valve disc must
not be pinched. The disc faces inwards, and the stems face
outwards.
5 Transport
Transport the full-face mask in a storage box or in the transport
packaging.
6 Storage
Do not place the mask/helmet adapter on the face seal to prevent

deformations that may cause leakages.
Wipe the visor with an antistatic cloth.

Pack the full-face mask in its bag or a storage box.

Store it in a dry, dust-free place where it is not deformed.

Storage temperature -15 °C to +25 °C.
Keep out of direct sunlight and heat.
Observe ISO 2230 and national directives concerning storage,
cleaning and maintenance of rubber products.
Dräger rubber products are treated with an agent to protect against
premature ageing which in some cases is visible as a grey-white
coating. This coating can be washed off with a brush and soapy water.
