2.3 Approvals
The mask/helmet combination complies with DIN 58610.
The following mask/helmet combinations have been approved:
Panorama Nova S/HPS

The full-face mask complies with EN 136 CL. 3 and carries the CE
mark. In addition, it meets the requirements of flame engulfment in
accordance with EN 137 and the requirements of the PSA directive 89/
686/EEC.
Only use mask/helmet combinations with a water screen when in
areas subject to explosion hazards.

3 Use
3.1 Prerequisites
Prior to first use make sure that:
the fit must be perfect, e.g. to ensure an absolutely tight fit,

the personal protective equipment must be compatible with all

other types of personal protective equipment worn at the same
time (e.g. protection jacket),
the personal protective equipment must be suitable for the

respective workplace conditions,
the personal protective equipment must be suitable for the

ergonomic requirements and the state of health of the person
wearing the breathing protection equipment,
the mask/helmet combination must be carefully adapted to the

equipment wearer (adapter bag settings and inner fittings of the
helmet) due to the rigid structure.
3.2 Prerequisites for respiratory filters
Strictly follow the applicable national regulations for using filtering

devices (in Germany e.g. BGR 190, in Australia and New Zealand
e.g. AS/NZS 1715:2009).
The ambient conditions (in particular type and concentration of the

contaminants) must be known. Use corresponding respiratory
filters. Only use self-contained open-circuit breathing apparatus or
air line breathing apparatus in cases where the contaminant is
unknown.
It has to be ensured that the surrounding atmosphere cannot

change unfavourably.
Do not use filter apparatus sets if there is a suspicion of

contaminants with low warning properties (smell, taste, irritation of
eyes and airways). In this case leave the danger zone
immediately, as the full-face mask can start to leak.
