Connections and installation
z Turn off all units and disconnect the AC mains lead from the socket before making any
connections.
z Connect the AC mains lead only after all other connections are completed.
z Be sure to connect the PHONO earth lead. Otherwise mains hum may occur.
z Refer also to the instruction manual of the connected device.

Connect a commercially available
phono cable to the output
terminal.

Connect the control unit
connection cable by inserting it
until it clicks into place.

Connect the AC mains lead.
Note
z The operation switch does not separate entire unit from mains even if in "OFF" position.
Remove the plug from the mains socket if you will not be using the unit for an extended period of
time. Place the unit so that the plug can be easily removed.

Connect the commercially
available phono cable to the
PHONO input terminals of the
amplifier connected to the unit.
z You will not have adequate volume or
sound quality if the connected amplifier
has no PHONO input terminals.

z Confirm the wattage of the AC outlet on
the connected equipment before using it
for this unit.

● Use a 5-pin straight phono cable.

Basically, there is no need to connect the chassis ground.
If you are concerned about the noise, connect as described
below. The noise may decrease though it depends on your
environment of use.
① Using a commercially available M3 screw, attach an earth
lead with lug to the chassis ground.
② Connect the earth lead to the earth terminal on the
amplifier.
