Log

Each component of a system for protection against falling (EN 363:2008) shall
be entered in a log. The log is to be filled in at least every twelve months by a
"duly qualified person".
The log shall contain the following records:
1. The product, model and type/identification and its trade name.
2. The name and contact details of the manufacturer or supplier.
3. A means of identification, which could be the batch or serial number.
4. Where applicable, the year of manufacture or life expiry date.
5. The date of purchase.
6. Any other information as necessary, e. g. maintenance and frequency of
use.
7. The date first put into use.
8. The history of periodic examinations and repairs, to include: the dates and
details of each periodic examination and repair, the name and signature of
the competent person who carried out the periodic examination or repair.
9. The next due date for periodic examination.
