example by standing in foot loops). Where this is not
possible, it must be ensured that victims be rescued
as fast as possible from the suspended position
and that appropriate first aid measures be taken.
CAUTION! NEVER PLACE A RESCUED PER-
SON RIGHT AWAY IN A POSITION FLAT ON THE
GROUND or IN THE SHOCK POSITION -> MORTAL
DANGER! The rescued person must be put in either
a sitting or a squatting position, or, if unconscious,
in a stable lateral position, preferably with a raised
upper body (to avoid heart failure due to the exces-
sively fast return flow of the blood from the lower
half of the body)
4. TO BE OBSERVED
PRIOR TO USE
The rope must be inspected visually before use to
check completeness, usable condition and proper
operation.
All buckles and adjustment devices (locking and
fixing rings) must be checked regularly. Before
first use, the user should carry out a hanging test
at a safe place in order to ensure that the harness
is of the right size, has sufficient possibilities for
adjustment and is sufficiently comfortable for the
intended use.
If the equipment has been affected by a fall, it must
be withdrawn from use immediately. Even if you
have only the slightest doubt, the product must be
withdrawn and may only be used again once an
expert has authorised the use in writing following
an inspection. If the Sliding D tape is damaged in any
way (such as from cuts, heat or abrasion), it must
be replaced immediately, either by a specialist or
under specialist supervision.
Products-specific instructions are available with
every spare part (Art. No. 7333216)
The user must ensure that the recommendations
for use with other elements are complied with.
Further PPE components must meet the harmo-
nized standards under the regime of regulation
(EU) 2016/425, such as EN 354 or 358 lanyards or
EN 795 anchoring points. You put yourself at risk
by combining equipment parts that impair the safe
secURity / tRansPoRt, stoRaGe & cLeaninG / ReGULaR checks
operation of any part of the equipment or of the
assembled equipment.
Before use, a plan for rescue measures must be
prepared to take account of all possible emergen-
cies. Before and during use, you must consider how
the rescue measures can be carried out safely and
effectively.
5. TRANSPORT,
STORAGE & CLEANING
The belts of our harnesses are made of PA, PES, PE
or PP. The gear loops are made of Polyurethan. The
metal parts are made of aluminum, Inox stainless
steel, iron. Accordingly, they must never be exposed
to heat above 100°C. Chemicals can damage the
material and reduce its strength. In the event of
reactions such as discolouring or hardening, the
product must be withdrawn from service for safety
reasons.
During transportation, the product should always
be protected against dirt and packed in suitable
humidity-repellent packaging.
Storage conditions:
– dry and clean
– at room temperature (15 – 25°C),
– protected from light (UV radiation, welding equip-
ment, ...),
– away from chemicals (acids, alkalis, liquids, vapours,
gases, ...) and other aggressive conditions
– protected against sharp-edged objects
For this reason the harness should be stored in a
humidity-repellent bag.
For cleaning, use lukewarm water and a fine
detergent.
The equipment should then be rinsed with clear
water and dried before storage. The harness should
be dried naturally and not in the proximity of fire or
other sources of heat.
For disinfection, only use substances that have
no influence on the synthetic materials used. You
put yourself at risk by not complying with these
conditions.
