5.7.2 Alignment of the measuring system

According to the mounting instruction the measuring system must be aligned with a
dial indicator, see also page 41. For this, at first the mounting screws have to be only
easily tightened to fix the measuring system. Dependent on the result of
measurement, the position of the measuring system must be corrected accordingly.
If the measuring system is aligned, the mounting adapter can be screwed together
with the machine device (3x M6x16). The screw connection must be carried out
absolutely tension-freely, it will not be allowed to transfer any torsional moments to the
mounting adapter.
In this condition all tolerances about the complete measuring length have to be
checked. If necessary, corrections must be performed.
