Protect measuring system against penetrating liquids, splashing water
must not be pointed directly towards the eccentric rod sealing ring, see
Figure 3.

If splashing water, shavings, hot metal particles and similar can not be
excluded, an additional measuring axle protection must be used, see
Figure 4.
Mount measuring system near to the processing plane, thus the "Abbe error"
is kept low.
Provide solid mechanical components as mounting surfaces.
Fasten measuring system about the complete length on the mounting
surface.
No mounting
− at hollow parts,
− as well as over bolt-on blocks,
− or heat sources.
