Installation
For preparations and further information on
installation, see user's guide.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to hydraulic oil spraying out
If the system is disassembled without first releasing the
pressure, a sudden escape of fluid/oil will result and may
cause damage and injury.
► Installation must only be carried out in a
depressurized state.
► Replace defective sealing rings.
CAUTION
Cutting and crushing hazard
During installation, crush injuries against components
and cut injuries on sharp elements (e.g. threads) may
occur.
► Keep hands away from pinch points.
► Wear protective gloves.
For proper sensor function, it is essential that the
system is free of air bubbles.
1. Check sealing ring for visible damage and replace
sealing ring if necessary.
A damaged sealing ring must be replaced!
2. Check sealing ring for orientation and correct seating
and correct if necessary.
Sealing ring
The chamfer of the sealing ring must be
oriented towards the screw-in hole.

3. Install the sensor in the overall system and tighten it
with a tightening torque of 58...62 Nm.
4. Vent the sensor according to the hydraulic cylinder
manufacturer 's instructions.
If venting according to the manufacturer's
instructions is not possible, manual venting
must be performed.
5. Build up operating pressure for 5...10 s and release
pressure again.
6. Retighten the sensor with a tightening torque of 58...62
Nm.
Manually vent sensor
If venting according to the manufacturer's instructions is
not possible (e.g. in the case of overhead installation),
venting must be performed manually.
1. Gently screw in the sensor finger-tight so that the seal
is just in contact.
The flat gasket does not seal the system completely at
this point.
2. For venting, build up some pressure until bubble-free
oil escapes from the side of the flat gasket.
3. Tighten the sensor with a tightening torque of 58...62
Nm.
4. Build up operating pressure for 5...10 s and release
pressure again.
5. Retighten the sensor with a tightening torque of 58...62
Nm.
Replace sealing ring
A damaged sealing ring must be replaced.
NOTICE
Damage to the sealing ring
Pointed or sharp-edged tools as well as the edges of the
sensor thread can damage the sealing ring.
► Cover the thread before inserting the sealing ring.
► Use tools carefully.
► Check inserted sealing ring for damage.
1. Remove the damaged sealing ring.
2. Cover thread.
3. Insert new sealing ring (chamfer of the sealing ring
must be oriented towards the screw-in hole).
4. Check correct seating.
