6. Care and maintenance
Switch off the device and disconnect the power plug before cleaning!
Always disconnect the mains conductor during the cleaning process, and be careful that no fluid
enters inside of the device or the accessories; no alcohol or spirits should be used. The instrument
requires cleaning the housing with a damp cloth (do not use aggressive cleaning agents); absolutely
avoid the penetration of liquids.
It is recommended that parts which are in direct contact with the patient (e.g. earphone cushions) are
subjected to standard disinfecting procedure between patients.
After each test, it is necessary to disinfect the headset cushion before use on a new patient. This in-
cludes physically cleaning and use of a recognised disinfectant. Individual manufacturer's instruction
should be followed for use of this disinfecting agent to provide an appropriated level of cleanliness.
In case of use R07A with insert earphones, never insert or in any way use the insert headset without a
new clean non defect test tip supplied by RESONANCE.
If the surface of the device or parts of it are contaminated, it can be cleaned using a soft cloth moist-
ened with a mild solution of water and dish washing cleaner or similar. The use of organic solvents and
aromatic oils must be avoided all the times.
Before performing test:
It is necessary to disinfect the headset cushion before use on a new patient.
The tips of the Insertion tips are disposable: use them only once and replace them before using them
with a new patient.
Daily verify:
Presence of signals in the transducers provided
Correct operation of all other controls provided
Weekly verify:
Good condition of all accessories cables and related jack-plugs
Annually:
