5.2 Setup menu

To access the R07A setup menu press F2 soft key or one of the two knobs.
To browse up or down in the Setup Menu, rotate either knob.
HEADSET
Press CHANGE to select an alternative transducer; DD45, Insert earphones or TDH39. The default set-
ting is DD45. Press STORE to save the new setting or EXIT. On exiting, the setting will not be updated.
START EAR
Press CHANGE to toggle between RIGHT and LEFT ear as the default ear to start to perform a test. Press
STORE to save the new setting or EXIT. On exiting, the setting will not be updated.
SIGNAL (Tone presentation modality)
Press CHANGE to toggle between NORMAL or REVERSE. NORMAL: Tone is presented as long as the
signal switch is pressed. REVERSE: Tone will be interrupted if signal switch is activated. REVERSE mode
results in higher battery power consumption. Press STORE to save the new setting or EXIT. On exiting,
the setting will not be updated.
POWER OFF settings
Press CHANGE to toggle between 3, 4 or 5 minutes. If powered by batteries, the device will shut down
after "Power-off time" as entered in the setting. The countdown of this time will start when the display
backlight will be switched off taking count of the "LCD-off time" setting. Press STORE to save the new
setting or EXIT. On exiting, the setting will not be updated.
With power supply connected, the device will NOT turn-off automatically.
STEP (Stimulus Level Steps)
Press CHANGE to select between 1, 2 or 5 dB steps. Press STORE to save the new setting or EXIT. On
exiting, the setting will not be updated.
DEFAULT dB (Default Level)
Press CHANGE to choose between a range from 20 up to 60 dB in steps of 5 dB the default level when
changing ear side. The default setting is 40 dB. Press STORE to save the new setting or EXIT. On exiting,
the setting will not be updated.
PULSED (Pulse Length)
Press CHANGE to toggle between 0.5, 1 or 2 Hz to adjust the length of the pulsed tone. Press STORE to
save the new setting or EXIT. On exiting, the setting will not be updated.
LCD OFF settings
Press CHANGE to toggle between 0, 30, 60, 90 or 120 seconds to adjust the activation time of "save
batteries modality". In this condition, the display backlight is switched off to save the battery power.
All the functions of the R07A are still active, acting on any button or soft key the display backlight will
automatically resume. These settings are active only when the device is powered with batteries; if
plugged to external power supply LCD OFF is disabled and backlight is always active.
CONTRAST
Press CHANGE to toggle between setting ranging from 0 (dark) up to 5 (bright) to adjust the LCD con-
trast. Press STORE to save the new setting or EXIT. On exiting, the setting will not be updated.
