Maintenance

Drinking water is intended for human consumption.
Therefore, it is important to maintain hygiene when
performing work.
The BWT after-sales service staff or an installer
authorised by BWT must carry out the following
maintenance work regularly.
Replacement of wearing parts
Sealing components (A)
Backwas helement (B)
Filter element (B)
Transparent cylinder (C)
Sealing plugs (D)
Wearing parts can be found in the BWT spare
parts catalogue.
Close the stop valves up and downstream of the
filter and place a collecting basin underneath if
necessary.

Relieve pressure from the filter (open rotary knob
5 counterclockwise).
Unscrew the transparent cylinder (C) by hand and
pull vertically downwards.
Pull filter element (B) downwards.
Replace seals (A).
Lightly grease all seals before installation.
Flush the filter element with water and check filter
cloth for any damage or replace if necessary. Attach
the filter element.
Screw transparent cylinder into the top section by
hand.

Open the stop valves up and downstream from
the unit, bleed the piping with the closest water
tap downstream from the unit, and drain the water.
Check all connections for leaks (visual check).
Carry out backwash.
