When installing the PMLN6521 & PMLN6522 Passive Vehicular
Holder Kit, use the following procedure or modify to suit the particular
vehicle. See Figure 2 above:
1. Open the hinge screw and separate the two halves of the
mounting bracket.
2. Use the lower half of the bracket as a template. Position it so that
the pivot end of the bracket is toward the bottom of the cradle.
3. Using an awl or similar device, make four holes in the carpet at
marked locations. This must be done prior to drilling to avoid
damaging the carpet.
4. Mark and drill holes. Securely mount the bracket half using the
four #8x.625" self tapping screws (supplied with the mounting
bracket).
5. Secure the cradle/holder to the other half of the bracket using
the four M4x10 mm screws, you may choose to sandwich the
RSM bracket in between or install it separate as shown in
Figure 2.
6. Connect the two parts of the mounting bracket and secure the
hinge screw.
7. Align the RSM bracket & the cradle to the mounting bracket four
holes, then secure with four M4x10mm screws.
8. RSM bracket allows user to clip on the RSM as shown in
Figure 3 below.
Note: DO NOT connect the power cable to the cradle until the
power cable is fully installed.
