IMPORTANT:

adjustments other than as described in these
instructions. Maintenance and repairs not
described in these instructions should be
carried out by an authorised service centre.
Incorrect maintenance can result in the risk of
personal injury and/or material damage.
CLEANING
•
Clean the chain saw with a damp cloth
and soft brush.
•
Remove the chain guard and remove
chippings and oil residue from the bar,
chain, sprocket and chain guard with a
soft brush.
•
Keep the ventilation openings free from
dust and dirt.
WARNING!
Do not use water or liquid detergent.
IMPORTANT:
Clean the chain saw after it has been used for
best functionality.
MAINTENANCE OF THE CHAIN AND
BAR
Tensioning the chain
The chain should not hang down, but it should
be possible to lift it 1–2 mm from the middle
of the bar.
1.
Twist the knob anticlockwise far enough
so that the bar can be moved by hand.
2.
Turn the chain tensioner anticlockwise to
tension the chain.
3.
Turn round the chain by hand and check
that it slides smoothly in the slot in the
bar.
4.
Tighten the knob to lock the bar and chain
guard.
NOTE:
On a new chain the chain tension should
be checked after a few minutes in use and
adjusted if necessary. Switch off the saw,
remove the battery and apply the chain brake
before checking the chain tension.
Clearing the slot in bar
1.
Remove the bar.
2.
Clear the lubrication slot in the bar with
a suitable tool. Clean the bar with plastic
tools. Never use metal tools.
3.
Replace the bar.
Filing the chain
The filing should be done with a special tool to
ensure that the chain has the right angles and
depth. It is recommended to have the chain
filed by qualified personnel.

STORAGE
•
Store the chain saw in a dry place and
frost-free (10–25°C).
•
Store the battery and saw separately.
•
Charge the battery before putting into storage
if it is not going to be used for some time.
