recommended by the manufacturer.
If other batteries are charged there is a
risk of personal injury and/or fire.
• Never use damaged, defective or
deformed batteries. Never attempt to
open the battery or subject it to knock
and blows.

Personal safety

• Stay alert. Pay attention to what you are
doing, and use your common sense when
working with power tools. Never use
power tools if you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
Remember that a moment of inattention
or carelessness can result in serious
personal injury.
• Wear safety glasses, ear protection, safety
helmet with visor, safety gloves, non-slip
safety shoes and suitable safety clothing.
• Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or
jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts.
• Never use the product from a ladder, tree
or other unstable footing – risk of serious
personal injury.
• Avoid accidental starting. Check that the
power switch is in the OFF position before
inserting the battery, or lifting/carrying
the tool. There is serious risk of accidents
if you carry power tools with your finger
on the switch, or connect power to power
tools when the power switch is switched
on.
• Remove adjuster keys and the equivalent
before switching on the power tool.
Spanners or the equivalent left in a
rotating part of a power tool can result in
personal injury.

• Do not overreach. Always maintain a firm
footing and good balance. Only use the
product on a level, stable surface.
• Keep your hands and the rest of your body
away from the chain when the product is
running.
• Check that the chain is not touching the
ground or an object when starting the
product.
• Never run with the product. A soon as a
sawn branch starts to crack and fall, move
away and stay at a safe distance.
IMPORTANT:
Watch out for falling branches, they can
bounce when they hit the ground.
Use and care
• Do not force the power tool. Use the
correct power tool for the planned work.
Power tools work better and more safely
when used at the rate for which they are
intended.
• Do not use power tools if they cannot be
switched on and off with the power
switch.
• Switch off the product and remove the
battery if the chain jams. Release the
chain.
• Remove the battery before making any
adjustments, changing accessories, or
putting the power tool away.
• Carry the product with the front handle
and with the bar pointing away from your
body. The supplied blade guard must
always be fitted during transport and
storage, to protect the bar and avoid the
risk of personal injury.
• Store power tools out of the reach of
children when not in use. Never allow
children, or anyone who is unfamiliar with
the power tool and these instructions, to
use the tool.
• Keep power tools properly maintained.
