tool is damaged it must be repaired
before using it again. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained power tools.

Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam,
and are easier to control.

Use the power tool, accessories and bits
etc., in accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the actual working
conditions and the work that is to be
done. It can be dangerous to use power
tools for purposes other than those they
are intended to be used for.

Do not use the product if a handle or
safety device is dismantled or damaged.
Do not dismantle the product or attempt
to modify or repair it – risk of personal
injury and/or material damage.

Do not use the product to fell or limb trees
if you are unsure of how to do it.
•
Branches under tension can spring away
when they are cut and cause personal
injury and/or cause you to lose control of
the product.
•
Be careful when sawing in bushes, thin
branches can fasten in the chain and be
thrown towards you, or cause you to lose
your balance.
•
Follow the instructions for lubrication,
tensioning the chain, and replacing
accessories. The wrong tension and/or
lubrication of the chain can result in a risk
of the chain breaking and/or kickback.
•
Keep handles clean, dry and free from oil
and grease. Greasy handles make it
difficult to hold the product– risk of
personal injury and/or material damage.
•
Be careful to avoid slipping or falling,
especially when walking backwards.
WARNING!

Hold the back hand in your right hand
and the front handle in your left hand,
even if you are left-handed. Never hold
the product in any other way – risk of
serious personal injury.
•
Stay at least 10 metres away from power
lines.
•
The product produces an
electromagnetic field when in use. This
field can in some circumstances affect
active or passive medical implants. If
you have a medical implant you should
consult your doctor and/or the
manufacturer of the medical implant
before using the product to reduce the
risk of serious or fatal personal injury.
Vibration and noise
Take appropriate measures to reduce exposure
to vibration and noise.

Only use the chain saw if all parts are
working properly.
•
Clean and maintain the chain saw
regularly.
•
Adapt the working method to the tool.
•
Do not overload the chain saw.
•
If the chain saw is damaged it must be
repaired before using it again.
•
Switch off the chain saw when not in use.
•
Wear safety gloves.
Service
Power tools must only be serviced by qualified
personnel using identical spare parts. This will
ensure that the product remains safe to use.
REMAINING RISKS
Even if appropriate safety regulations are
adhered to and safety devices are used, it is
not possible to eliminate all risks. The following
