3.3 SQL (Squelch setting)
SQL System can eliminate the noise without signal. It not only makes the standby state quiet but
also can save power in standby state by switching the not necessary parts off.
1) Press [MENU], [MENU] appears, next line is blank .Then Press [UP] or [DOWN] to
select"SQδ"έ
2) Press [MENU] to enter the setting, firstΝlineΝisΝ"SQδ",nextΝlineΝshowsΝtheΝstatusέ
3) Press [UP] or [DOWN] to select between 0έέ1έέβΝ...έι. Level 9 is the highest ,1 is the
lowest,0 means Squelch open, More higher values need stronger signal to open.
4) Press [MENU] to confirm storing and return, or press [*/BAND] to quit without storing.
3.4 TOT (Time out Timer to limit transmit time)
TOT protects radio from being damaged by too long transmissions and protects other stations from
interference if somebody should keep the PTT button pressed too long. If activated, the radio stops
transmission and sends the emergency call if user should keep the PTT button pressed. Longest
transmission time: 10 minutes,.
1) Press [MENU], [MENU] appears, next line is blank .Then Press [UP]or [DOWN] to
select"TOT"έ
2) Press [MENU] to enter into setting , first line is now "TηT", next line shows the status.
3) Press [UP] or [DOWN] to select between OFF/15/30/45/60/75/90/......./600 seconds.
4) Press [MENU] to confirm and return, or press [*/BAND] to exit without saving changes.
