15. Troubleshooting

Fault
Compressor does not run.
Compressor runs, but no pressure.
Compressor running, pressure shown on the
manometer, but tools are not running.

Possible cause

Mains voltage not present.
Mains voltage too low.
Outdoor temperature too low.
Motor overheating.
Non-return valve leaking
Seals defective.
Drain screw for condensate leaking.
Hose connections leaking.
Quick-coupler leaking.
Pressure set too low at pressure regulator.
Remedy
Check cable, mains plug, fuse and socket.
Avoid extension cables that are too
long. Use extension cables with sufficient
conductor cross-section.
Do not operate at outside temperatures
below 0°C.
Let the motor cool down, if necessary,
eliminate the cause of overheating.
Replace the non-return valve.
Replace the seals, have defective seals
replaced at a specialist workshop.
Tighten the screw by hand. Check the
seal on the screw and replace if neces-
sary.
Check compressed air hose and tools,
replace if necessary.
Check quick coupling, replace if neces-
sary.
Turn up the pressure regulator further.
