Instructions for Use – Hercules Small
Adjusting the shoulder straps - height
Loosen the shoulder straps behind the back pad. (Fig. 30) Then guide them through
the strap guides in the back plate at a height suitable for the user. (Fig. 32) Please
ensure that the straps are threaded correctly into the back plate, an illustration for this
is located directly on the back plate. (Fig. 3)
Note that the shoulder straps must be above the user's shoulder. The upper shoulder
belts must be adjusted so that the belt tensioners do not rest on the user's collarbone.
(risk of injury)
Adjusting the shoulder straps - strap length
Pull the loose webbing straps to shorten and tighten the straps.
To lengthen the belts, press the seat belt pretensioner release button and pull
then adjust the belt to the desired length. (Fig. 31) By changing the adjustment range
on the belt tensioner, you can adapt the belt even better to the user.
Adjusting the lap belts - belt length
If the adjustment on the belt tensioners is not sufficient, you can also adjust the lap
belt in the lower area of the back plate. To do this, loosen the threaded belt and ad-
just it to the desired length. Make sure that the end of the belt protrudes at least 5 cm
from the slot in the back plate.
Belt buckle
To open, press the red recess in the fastener. Then separate the two upper strap hold-
ers. To close the belt, insert the belt holders one by one into the buckle until they
engage with an audible "click".
Side change belt guide top
Depending on the placement of the Hercules Small in the vehicle, the upper black
and green belt guide may be needed on the other side of the seat.
Use a hair dryer to loosen the screw lock of the two screws from the black bracket on
the back plate (Fig. 33). Mount the bracket on the other side on the back plate with
the help of the screw lock and tighten the screws again.
For a correct run of the 3-point safety belt, an adjustment of the belt guide is neces-
sary. Loosen the screw connection of the belt guide on the angle and correct the
position of the belt guide, and now tighten the upper screw of the belt guide again.
