8. Setting up unit using ReadWin
In the following paragraphs the individual operating parameters
of the data-logger are described. The basic requirement for
setting up the unit is that the RS 232 serial interface cable is
connected to the serial port of the PC.

8.1 Start ReadWin

Click the ReadWin symbol in the Windows level.
On initial ReadWin start a data base must be created for the
data-logger. In order to do this operate the sub menu UNIT,
point "Display/change unit settings" or click
Then click „New unit". For further identification the unit can be
described by entering a unit identifier, location and any further
information required.

End input by operating "OK .
In order to set up the required interface select the unit type in
the default settings. The actual settings for the data-logger are
then automatically set and stored.
Check that the interface port (COM-Port) on the PC
corresponds with that on screen.
Attention: If the wrong PC port is installed communication from
the PC to the data-logger cannot be made.
Data is then transmitted from the data-logger to the PC using
the RS 232 interface cable.
