Keep the noise emissions and vibrations to a
minimum.
Only use appliances which are in perfect wor-
king order.
Service and clean the appliance regularly.
Adapt your working style to suit the appliance.
Do not overload the appliance.
Have the appliance serviced whenever ne-
cessary.
Switch the appliance off when it is not in use.
Wear protective gloves.
Caution!
Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in
accordance with instructions, certain resi-
dual risks cannot be rules out. The following
hazards may arise in connection with the
equipment's construction and layout:
Lung damage if no suitable protective dust
mask is used.
Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protec-
tion is used.
Health damage caused by hand-arm vib-
rations if the equipment is used over a pro-
longed period or is not properly guided and
maintained.
Injury and damage to property caused by ca-
tapulted objects.

5. Before starting the equipment

The equipment is supplied without batteries and
without a charger and is allowed to be used only
with the lithium-ion batteries of the Power X-
Change series!
Caution! Do not fi t the battery until the equipment
has been fully assembled and all the settings
have been actuated. Always wear protective
gloves when working on the equipment to protect
yourself against injury.
5.1 Assembly
5.1.1 Fitting the battery guard handle to the
housing of the operating handle
Note: To fi t, use the supplied combination
screwdriver (Fig. 2 / Item 21).
1. Fig. 3a: Press the screw boss from the left
battery guard handle (Item 1a) into the holes
provided in the housing of the operating
handle (Item 4a).

2. Fig. 3b: Push the grip (Item 1b) onto the left
battery guard handle (Item 1a).
3. Fig. 3c: Press the right battery guard handle
(Item 1c) into the grip (Item 1b) and into the
housing of the operating handle (Item 19).
4. Fig. 3d: Use the three assembly screws (Item
23) to screw together (from the right-hand
side) the left and the right battery guard hand-
les.
5. Fig. 3e-3f: Pass the socket head screw with
washer (Item 22) through the right battery gu-
ard handle and the grip and screw both to the
left battery guard handle.
5.1.2 Fitting the prongs to the joint
Fig. 4: Press the prongs (Item 19) into the mounts
(Item 18a) on the joint. The prongs will be locked
in place with an audible click.
5.1.3 Connecting the base tube to the
housing of the operating handle
Fig. 5a - 5c: Note: The guide spring (Item 10a) on
the base tube must match the guide groove (Item
4b) on the housing of the operating handle.
Push the base tube (Item 10) into the housing
of the operating handle as far as the bead (Item
10b) and use the union nut (Item 6) to screw it
tight.
5.1.4 Connecting the telescopic tube B to the
shaking unit
Fig. 6a – 6c: Note: The guide spring (Item 14a) on
the telescopic tube B (Item 14) must match the
guide groove (Item 17a) on the shaking unit (Item
17).
Push the telescopic tube B (Item 14) into the
shaking unit as far as the ring (Item 14b) and use
the lock nut (Item 15) to screw it tight. This will
lock both parts together.
5.1.5 Fitting the shoulder strap
Fig. 7: Hook the carabiner (Item 7a) of the shoul-
der strap (Item 7) on the strap holder (Item 8).
5.2 Dismantling
5.2.1 Removing the prongs from the joint
Fig. 8a – 8b: Use e.g. the combination screwdriver
(Fig. 2 / Item 21) to press sideways on the four
color-coded areas (Item 18b). Two inner or outer
prongs will be unlocked as the result and can be
pulled out of the mounts (Item 18a).
