The battery temperature is too low. Remove the
battery from the equipment, keep it at room tem-
perature for one day. If the fault reoccurs, this me-
ans that the rechargeable battery has undergone
exhaustive discharge and is defective. Remove
the battery from the equipment. Never use or
charge a defective battery.
6. Operation
Please note that the statutory regulations gover-
ning noise abatement may diff er from one loca-
tion to another.

equipment before you take off the shoulder strap.
Otherwise there is a risk of injury.

der strap holder and the tool to suit your
requirements.

7. Working with the tool
1. Hold the tool with one hand on the operating
handle (Fig. 1 / Item 4) and with the other
hand on the grip surface (Fig. 1 / Item 9),
pressing fi rmly enough for your thumbs to
reach around the operating handle and the
grip surface. If required you can also use the
grip surface and the battery guard handle
(Fig. 1 / Item 1). Take special care in this case
because you don't have your hand near the
On/Off switch and so cannot switch off the
tool immediately in case of danger.
2. Shake the lower and outer hanging branches
from top to bottom. In this case you can usu-
ally leave the telescopic tubes retracted.
3. Shake the upper branches from top to bot-
tom. Please note that the leverage eff ect can
make the tool very heavy when the telescopic
tubes are extended.
8. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering of spare parts
Danger!
Remove the battery pack before doing any
cleaning and maintenance work.
8.1 Cleaning
Keep the handles free of grease so that you
can maintain a firm grip.
Clean the equipment as required with a damp
cloth and, if necessary, mild washing up li-
quid.
Never immerse the equipment in water or
other liquids in order to clean it.
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the
motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as
possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean
cloth or blow it with compressed air at low
pressure.
We recommend that you clean the device
immediately each time you have finished
using it.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist
cloth and some soft soap. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents; these could at-
tack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensu-
re that no water can seep into the device. The
ingress of water into an electric tool increases
the risk of an electric shock.
