Changing the Backup Battery (see figure M)
The backup battery serves to supply emergency power to the
access point so that the data that has just been transmitted
can be stored.
This requires a powerful backup battery to be used and acti-
vated via the Service-Tool (see Service-Tool instructions).
If the backup battery loses power, the EO status code appears
in the display 6 of the access point (see "Status codes",
page 33).
Change the backup battery during operation because other-
wise there is a threat of data loss.
– Remove the maintenance cover plate 8 (see "Connection
Work", page 26).
 Do not touch any live parts of the access point when
you have removed the service or maintenance cover
plate during operation. There is a risk of electric shock.
– Remove the old battery 15 and insert a new 1.5 V standard
AAA microcell battery.
Make sure that you insert the battery at the correct polarity
according to the illustration.
Changing the Button Cell for the Real Time Clock
(see figure N)
A lithium battery (3 V, CR 2032) is used to provide perma-
nent power supply to the Real Time Clock (RTC).
– Disconnect the access point from the power supply.
– Remove the service cover plate 7 (see "Connection Work",
page 26).
– Bend the retainer to one side and remove the used button
cell 20 from the socket 21.
– Insert a new button cell into the socket 21 at the correct
polarity until the retainer clicks over the edge of the button
cell.
– Screw the service cover plate 7 securely back onto the
housing of the access point using the Phillips screws 2 .
– Connect the access point to the power supply.
– Select the EXAConnecT tab in the configuration software.
– Click on the Setup button.
▷ The EXAConnecT Setup window is displayed.

Operation
Putting the Access Point into Operation
 Read and observe the operating instructions of the pro-

the corresponding screwdriver before you can log the
screwdriving applications on the access point.
Pressing the trigger start once puts the screwdriver in the
ready mode. This is indicated by the red flashing BT-LED on
the screwdriver.
– Open a web browser and enter http://10.10.10.10 in the
address bar.
▷ The software is loaded.
– Confirm the security certificate if necessary.
– Select the EXAConnecT tab.
– Click on the Setup button.
▷ The EXAConnecT Setup window is displayed.
– Select the Screwdrivers tab to go to the registration
menu.
– Click on the Search button.
▷ All screwdrivers in ready mode (max. 25) are displayed
on the left-hand side. This may take up to 30 seconds.
– Select the screwdriver you want to register and then click
on the Connect button.
▷ The screwdriver is displayed on the right-hand side.
– Click on the OK button in the EXAConnecT Setup window.
▷ Connection is indicated on the screwdriver by the con-
tinuously lit BT-LED.
The screwdriver is now locked.
– Select the Overview tab.
▷ The screwdriver is displayed in a rectangular symbol
field (see figure O).
▷ A Serial number [Screwdriver index (0-6)] tab (e.g.
0000001 [0]) is also displayed for each registered
screwdriver (see figure O).
– Click on the screwdriver symbol in the symbol field or on
the Unlock button in the relevant screwdriver tab.
▷ The screwdriver is unlocked for the set screwdriving
task.
The red BT-LED goes out and the screwdriver can be
used.
