10. Calibrating the actuator
The actuator can be recalibrated any time.
To recalibrate, hold down all four buttons simultaneously for
about 3 seconds in MANUAL
mode.
"CAL" is displayed (see right).
You can abort the calibration process by holding down any but-
ton for some time.
If the actuator cannot be calibrated (e.g. because the device is
not installed, the wrong adapter is used or calibration has been
aborted), "ErrC" is displayed along with a flashing triangle (see
right).
Press the "PROG" button to confirm the error message.
If calibration has been aborted by the user or due to an error, the
triangle
successfully.
Without calibration, the actuator cannot be used properly. For
this reason, irrespective of the operating mode or the activat-
ed function, the motor is not operated until calibration is suc-
cessful.
11. Valve protection function
The valve protection function prevents the valve from calcification.
This function is executed automatically 28 days after the last valve protection func-
tion of after successful actuator calibration.
The valve is opened completely and closed again. Then the actuator assumes its
previous position. This prevents the valve from getting stuck due to deposition.
