Radiator valve opened
Please note that automatic temperature control can be reactivat-
ed by pressing the "AUTO" button to select AUTOMATIC
mode. If AUTOMATIC
temperature control continues when the next switch-point is
reached.
Temperature control is deactivated by closing the radiator
valve. The antifreeze function always remains active when the
valve is closed. When the valve is opened, the antifreeze func-
tion is inactive.

15. Emergency operation

The emergency wheel allows the user to manually change the valve opening. It is
used when the radiator actuator does not function any more, e.g. when the batteries
are empty or when the actuator could not be calibrated properly.
The device recognises manual changes of the valve opening made by the user via
the control wheel. This is indicated by a flashing bargraph. (The device can only
recognise if the emergency wheel has been used. It cannot detect the manually set
valve opening.)
About 5 seconds after the emergency wheel has been used last, the actuator is
recalibrated and set to the previous value before the manual adjustment. The bar-
graph stops flashing.
