Care instructions

Please note that you may only use genuine
Mercedes-Benz replacement seat covers,
because the seat cover fulfils an essential
part of the system function. Replacement
seat covers are available from your stock-
ist.
Never pull the belt tongues 19 off the
shoulder belts.
The child seat must not be used without
the seat cover.
• The cover can be removed and carefully
washed with a mild detergent in luke
warm water (30 °C). Please also ob-
serve the washing instructions exactly.
If washed at more than 30 °C, the col-
ours of the cover material can fade. Do
not spin or tumble dry (the fabric may
seperate from the padding). The plastic
insert can remain in the cover during
the wash.
• The plastic parts can be cleaned with
soapy water. Do not use aggressive
cleaning agents (like solvents).
• The harness can be removed and
washed in luke warm soapy water.
Removing the cover
1. Open the buckle 17 and loosen the
harness straps as much as possible
(see Loosening the harness page 48).
2. Take the elastic seam of the cover
from the hooks in the seat shell.
3. Press the button of the shoulder belt
height adjuster 14 at the rear of the
seat shell and tilt the shoulder belt
height adjuster 14 forward.
4. Now slide the belt loops of the shoul-
der pads 11 from the carrier 31 of the
shoulder belt height adjuster 14.
DUO plus child seat
5. Unhook the shoulder belts 10 at the
rear of the seat shell from the yoke 13.
Make sure that the unhooked yoke 13
does not slip behind the shell into the
base (for instance when pulling the
belt end 16).
6. Pull the shoulder belts 10 and belt
loops of the shoulder pads 11 out of
the pair of slots 12.
7. Remove the shoulder pads 11 from
the shoulder belts 10.
