10.6 Installing a heat protection below the hob

After installation, the connection cables and the underside
of the hob must no longer be accessible.
If the hob is installed above drawers, furniture compartments
or similar, or if the underside of the hob is accessible
(except in the area of the extractor hood), a protective plate
must be fitted underneath the hob or accessible parts.
Keep the following in mind:
• Ensure that there is sufficient air supply for the fans
integrated into the underside of the hob and that the
ambient temperature is appropriate to prevent the hob
from overheating.
• Observe all minimum and maximum distances
as shown in the illustration.
• The protective plate must be made of heat-resistant material,
preferably perforated sheet metal to ensure ventilation.
• When using adhesive, ensure a temperature resistance
of 150°C.
